The past week has kicked much ass...I got a car, my boyfriend got hired, I got hired....My parents SO rock. I sooooo owe them, bigtime. They helped me out with getting the car, AND helped me get insurance for it. I managed to get hired just a couple days after that. KICKASS! And my boy got a new job too. He seems pretty happy with it. It's had work, & he's been pretty exhausted his first week, since he's starting out having to do all the grunt-at-the-bottom-of-the-chain work, but it seems to fit him pretty well, since he doesn't have to deal with shitty customers or any of that mess....I, on the other hand, will be dealing with PLENTY of shitty customers. The drunken shitty kind. I'm working at a bar now. But, it's one that I've been going to for years, so I'm pretty familiar with the crowd there, and the staff seems pretty awesome too, from what I can tell. When I went in to work Sunday afternoon, my manager was talking about how hectic it was up there the night before - about the girl who freaked out over how busy it was & just walked out in the middle of her shift - said that the girls who stayed & worked that night ended up making around $200 to $300 in tips...That's $200-$300 EACH. If I can keep myself from spending too much money on stupid shit, making those kinds of tips in ONE night would really help me out...I have no idea what's going to happen with taxes though - Something the new tax guy I went to this year kinda scares me. He talked alot about how some of the girls who work at like, Bone Daddy's & Hooters & such, and make hella tips, ended up having to pay hella taxes. He said he had this one girl from Bone Daddy's, who had him do her taxes, and she had to sit alone for an hour or so in the tax guy's office, crying & freaking out, trying to cope with the fact that she was going to have to pay something like $30,000 this year....How shitty is THAT?? Anyhoo, I have to go wash clothes....Peace out mufuggahs!
